Jump Start Your Heart, Inc is a nonprofit organization that provides FREE cardiovascular screenings to include an electrocardiogram (EKG) and echocardiogram (echo) for student-athletes. Our mission is to decrease the risk and incidence of sudden cardiac deaths in our community. The terms are as follows:
- Echocardiograms performed by a certified vascular technician and interpreted by a board-certified and practicing Interventional Cardiologist. EKGs are performed by trained medical personnel.
- Treat all students equally and with no form of discrimination.
- Screen only students who have provided prior written parent or guardian authorizes for the noninvasive diagnostic screening procedure(s).
- To assess no cost to your school for services rendered by Jump Start Your Heart, Inc.
